Accessibility Statement for Peninsula Malaysian Cuisine
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Peninsula Malaysian Cuisine is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of its website, electronic menu, and online ordering system for all guests, including individuals with disabilities. We are constantly striving to enhance the user experience and ensure that all patrons can easily access our dishes, services, and online purchasing capabilities.
Conformance Standards (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)
To achieve this, we design and develop our online presence in alignment with the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as well as Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These guidelines outline best practices to ensure digital content is Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.
Measures Implemented on Our Website
- Keyboard Navigation: All menu items, customization modifiers, cart actions, and checkout forms are fully navigable using a standard keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and Escape).
- Screen Reader Compatibility: We provide descriptive alternative text (
altattributes) for dishes, appropriate form labels, ARIA landmarks, and live region announcements for interactive updates. - Color & Contrast: Text and essential interactive components maintain strong contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for standard text).
- Skip Navigation: A direct "Skip to main content" link is embedded at the top of every page to allow keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass repetitive header navigation.
